From June 4 to 6, 2025, Vienna will once again become the hub for global dialogue on digital security: The International Digital Security Forum (IDSF) will bring together international experts under the theme “Balancing Sovereignty and Solidarity in the Digital Age” at the MuseumsQuartier Vienna.
The forum serves as a unique interdisciplinary platform where leaders from politics, research, business, and civil society address the pressing challenges of digital transformation. Key topics include cybersecurity, digital resilience, technological sovereignty, and ethical considerations in emerging technologies.
The IDSF is organized by the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs (BMEIA), the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKÖ), the Austrian Center for Secure Information Technology (KSÖ), and various international partner organizations.
Highlight: Prof. Dr. Guilherme Wood as Speaker
A program highlight is the keynote by Prof. Dr. Guilherme Maia de Oliveira Wood from the University of Graz. An internationally recognized neuropsychologist, Prof. Wood investigates how digital technologies influence decision-making processes in the human brain – a topic of growing relevance in the context of digital security. At the IDSF, he will share insights into how neuroscience can inform future strategies for securing the digital realm.
